Hellscape is an erotic strategy RPG in development by Bakezori Games. The game features a blend of RPG and Visual Novel mechanics to deliver a challenging, story-driven experience.
Set in an immersive medieval fantasy world, Hellscape tells the story of Izobel, a demi-human succubus travelling through the kingdom of Erafell on a never-ending search for a place to spend the night. After a chance encounter with Sister Karin, a Novice Healer from the Aelic Church, Izobel finds herself caught up in a search for the Iltena Stones, ancient monoliths scattered throughout the continent and rumored to possess powerful arcane magic. Though the girls' interest in the Stones is purely academic, there are many in the kingdom with more malevolent intent, and when Erafell comes under threat by a powerful Demonic Army, Izobel and Karin are enlisted to help uncover the source of the ancient Stones' magic and wield it as a weapon of war.

Below is a list of known issues in Version 0.01
After waking up at the Inn, if you attempt to leave the room then put on the Handmade Dress, a dialogue box reading "0" will appear at the end of the Handmade Dress scene. I expect the game is trying to trigger more dialogue, but doesn't have a proper code to trigger it, so it just returns a "0." I don't believe the error causes any additional issues, so don't worry too much if it happens. I'll look into a fix for Version 0.02.
The "Export" option on the Continue screen has been a bit buggy. One second it'll work fine, the next it won't do anything. I'll try to find a different method of exporting saves in Version 0.02.
If you use the spell "Burst I" and target a tile where there are no enemies within the spell's area of effect, the game will soft lock. The spell should work fine aside from this issue. I'll be implementing a fix in Version 0.02, but for now, if you happen to find the Tome of Burst I, make sure you only use the spell on a tile where it will actually hit an enemy.
For some reason, if Izobel is hit while performing a sex act, she won't receive critical damage. I'm not sure why this is happening (it was working fine a week ago) but I'll go back through the code and fix this for Version 0.02.
If you load a save inside the Sanctuary, the fire in the braziers will not be animated.

after doing the tutorial battle,went left and got the gold and herbs from the chest,went left again and there's two paths,one leading down and one leading further left.
the left one goes to the shrine or smt and when i head down,i couldnt interect with the game anymore

Hey Bakezori, just wondering if you have any plans to revitalize this project. I may be biased, but I believe that you have an amazing concept on your hands here. A style of game that few tackle in the eroge community. Please don’t let this game die, or at least provide us with some info as to why the project didn’t work out.

Excellent :) It's actually one of the most enjoyable games I've played in the last few years. It's a mix of TBS (my fav genre) and porn (fav setting :). Also, the writing is surprisingly good, and though I rarely, if ever read stories in games, here I got sucked in and about 2 hours into the game noticed that, although being a game dev, I stopped analyzing the game and am truly enjoying it.
On a personal note, I'm not a fan of fantasy setting in general, so I'd probably like it even more if it were sci-fi, modern, near future, or post-apocalyptic. Though well.. succubus is a fantasy creature and it's the core concept here.
I'm genuinely interested how this game performs commercially after release. As much as I love this game, I fear it might fail simply because TBS is too niche, or that the gfx, though functional and actually quite cute for my liking, won't look "high budget" or "artsy" enough to make your average player pay...
The rect grid is fine with me btw. What I'd probably change if I were the dev on this is make the GUI larger, with bigger buttons for an easier port to mobile. Also, more helpful tips and probably static dialogs to show enemy stats. Right now during the fight it's not really clear how much dmg enemies will take from spells, or the succubus will take from attacks - though this might not be vital since it seems the combat part is about keeping up those heart points and mind controlling/seducing as many mobs as possible.

Need to work on the tags for this, it doesn't show up under "erotic", "adult" or "xxx"... I never found it before i saw it pirate uploaded somewhere, and searched for it by name, and i check the itch.io site daily.

Surprisingly very high quality game! I wish though I could play a male character (incubus) instead with bi-sex options. Also, the fight field better be hexagoned then this standard 2D grid.

played it and finished all it has so far, I feel its a pretty good start to it, puzzles it had weren't too bad and the enemies made you think a lil, good job!
